Cody Ewers, Owner/Operator

Cody oversees all aspects of the yearly grape harvest and winemaking production, as well as directing all sales and marketing efforts. Cody's baptism into the California wine industry began with cellar-ratting at Girard Winery. He was soon after blessed with opportunities at Robert Sinskey Vineyards, James Cole Winery and Hunnicutt Winery before transitioning to selling agriculture supplies to grape growers and then oak to winemakers with Seguin Moreau Cooperage. Now Cody works with winemakers and brand owners outfitting their farms and cellars with fabricated steel barrel racks and vineyard trailers as the Napa representative for Western Square Industries. He is thrilled to be working both with farmers and winemakers from Lake, Napa, Contra Costa, Solano and Alameda counties when not tending to his own vines and juice.

Midwestern-raised, Cody's college days were filled with home-brewed beers, distilling failures and a very important job at a wine bar in Northern Michigan. Studying History, German and Journalism at Hillsdale College taught him how to think and write. After college, he abandoned his journalism aspirations and set out for California at the call of an industry friend and the romantic invitation of winemaking.

With a few harvests under his belt, this 500-case production project and a hankering for philosophical conversations, Cody looks forward to serving his fellow man in his most anticipated capacity to date.
